POPI GAP Assessment for your Company to be POPI Compliant - SmartPrivacy

SmartPrivacy will assist your company to comply with the objects of the Act through its developed and unique assessment and implemenation methodology. Considering the limitations as a result of the status of the POPIA and the absence of codes of conduct, examples, best practices and general experience in SA, SmartPrivacy developed a preliminary assessment, based on seven steps to assist business during their POPIA compliance journey.

This assessment is based on a risk identification and risk treatment model that delivers the required building blocks and design principles to carefully plan the "what", "when" and "how", as well as the costs of the POPIA implementation plan. The assessment allows for various risk treatment models that can be implemented in accordance with the client's needs and risk priority actions on the road to compliance.

The final stage is based on a project management plan, to implement the risk treatment model and the compliance roadmap.

The purpose of this abbreviated assessment questionnaire is to be used purely as a brief unsupported assessment.

The self assessment is provided as an example of a facilitated process conducted by our experts to identify the extent of POPI compliance in your organisation. The full questionnaire (±180 detailed questions) is a facilitated exercise done by privacy consultants. The dashboard is provided purely as a graphic view of the key areas of assessment based on limited input by the respondent.
